Mt. Lafayette on an awesome winters day 1-22-2012

I have not posted recently, always reading of others adventures and checking the weather to plan for the perfect winters day here is my most recent hiking adventure on such a day.


The temp was -6 in the parking lot on Sunday morning 1-22-12 with a forecast for a great day I hiked to the summit of Mt. Lafayette. Following the Old Bridal path to the hut continued to the summit and headed south along the ridge over Mt. Lincoln, Little Haystack and descending down the Falling Waters Trail.

It was great to get out and hike as the winter has slowed my quest for all the 4000' but with the addition of Lincoln I am now at 29 since 6-1-11 and 2 for my January list

When not hiking or working spending lots of time rock climbing indoors, I discovered the local Climbing Gym and cant stay away!!!

Awesome hike! Your pictures are great and it's really looking like winter up there. Sounds like you're making a lot of progress on your 4K footers. Keep it up and keep sharing the pictures with us here.
