What will be the highest temperature recorded at the summit on the Daily F6 report for April 2012?

1. All answers must be in whole integers
2. One submission per forum ID
3. There can be no duplicates. If an answer has been taken, the second answerer will be ignored
4. If the proper answer is not selected by anyone, the winner will be the closest guesser whose number is numerically lower than the actual answer. In other words, don't go too far hot or you will be left out in the cold
5. Any attempt to alter the summit temperature is not allowed
6. Bribing the Night Observer is allowed, but that can not influence the temperature readings
7. All guesses must be submitted here on this forum in proper English by the silent stroke of midnight on March 31st
8. The official source of data is the Daily F6 as published on the Observatory's web site. It is the only source that will be considered
9. Employees of any organization with "Washington" in its name will be given special consideration and will be allowed to enter.

May the April games begin!

Are these guessed for North Conway or the summit of Mount Washington?

For reference, the record high for April is 60F, the all-time record for the summit is 72.

A third of the way into the month and the F6 report is showing a current high temp of 26 degrees. What do the remaining 18 days of the month bring? Do we have a warm up in the future? Does April stay cold and snow on the summit? Only time will tell.

Wow... What a difference a few days can make. It looks like we'll finally get into the contest numbers today.

And with one more day into the month, we're now at 57 degrees.

And Whitemtnvisitor is in the lead with 57. Will they be able to hold that position, as Brian Clark has mentioned in yesterdays Observer Comments that more seasonable levels with be back by Wednesday?

Snow Miser
04-28-2012, 03:48 PM
Sure enough, more seasonable temperatures did return to the summit after the somewhat brief warming period. And now with highs in the mid-teens forecast through Sunday, Whitemtnvisitor appears to have this contest locked up.

Another fun contest comes to an end! I would like to dedicate this to Brad. I didn't know Brad, but these contests he set up have always brought a smile to my face. It has been so much fun trying to pick that lucky number that will match what mother nature decides to deliver for the month, be it snow, rain, wind, or temps. He obviously touched a lot of people as is evident by the many recent posts throughout these forums. Obviously, he will be greatly missed by a lot of the MWOBS forum members...
