Good morning everyone. I have decided on the November contest and it will be to guess how much snow the summit receives for the month of November. The person to guess the closest is the winner for the month. Will the summit see an active November with a lot of snow or will the summit be snow starved this year. Here are the quick and simple rules.

1. All answers must be in whole integers
2. One submission per forum ID
3. There can be no duplicates. If an answer has been taken, the second answerer will be ignored
4. If the proper answer is not selected by anyone, the winner will be the closest guess will be the winner. In other words, don't go too far hot or you will be left out in the cold
5. Any attempt to add snow to the summit via an air drop, snow machine, etc will result in a DQ for the contest.
6. Bribing the Night Observer is allowed, but that can not influence the amount of snow on the summit
7. All guesses must be submitted here on this forum in proper English by the silent stroke of midnight on October 31
8. The official source of data is the Daily F6 as published on the Observatory's web site. It is the only source that will be considered
9. Employees of any organization with "Washington" in its name will be given special consideration and will be allowed to enter.

So get your guesses in and lets see if we have a Snovember!

Thru 4 days into the month - 2.3 inches have fallen on the summit. Could the summit see big snows later this week with the nor'easter coming up the coast? Will it all be rain? Time will tell. The month is young. But is going to be exciting!

Everyone is still in the running as we sit at 6.1 inches of snow on the summit.

Still sitting at 6.1 inches for the month. Will there be a late surge of snow on the summit coming up over the next 10 days? We shall see.

As a side note, there won't be a contest for December as I will have limited time during the month. If someone wants to set one up for December, I won't mind. I will have one up for January though!

11.2 inches now for the month. Still need a good 7.2 inches to reach Anna's 19 inches for the month. Hopefully, the summit will gather some more snow in the old can.

Up to 14 inches of snow now on the summit for the month. 2 days remain. Anna has the inside track to win the month. Unless something big happens between now and the end of the month.

A whooping 9 inches of snow fell on the summit yesterday, bringing our monthly total up to 23 inches. By having this impressive number, the new leader in the clubhouse is Snow Miser, who is sitting spot on at 23 inches. Will more snow fall today and whitemtvisitor move into the top spot? Or does the number go even higher to give someone else a chance to win. The forecast for today is calling for a clearing sky. The final update and winner will be announced tomorrow. Good luck everyone!
