No doubt about it, they are in the stores. Should we get them a saucer, a toboggan, or a flexible flyer?Quote:

I actually threw away 2 saucers last trip north. Maybe Reny's will have something when I am up next trip. I am sure I can find a way to get them to the summit that Vet's Day weekend. Are you listening Scot?Quote:

On the same note but with a different tack, the photos of Stacey sliding across the deck reminds me of the "moving rocks" at Racetrack Playa in Death Valley. With Stacey sitting there and the track of her passage clearly visible, the similarity is uncanny. I have some photos of the rocks, but not with me now. When I can access them I will post.
No worries everyone, we do have sleds, we just have not brought them to the summit yet. But since we blow out at least one a month (in the winter), we are always looking for more especially this time of year since Sprawl-mart has not stocked any yet.
What you guys really need on the summit is one of these....
The Hammerhead
I would be willing to bring mine up to the summit at some point this winter if the OBS staff would like to try it out.
Have you been into Tucks with that yet?
KDT
Not yet but I hope to this year. Rumor has it there is a "street" that goes to the summit of a mountain in the presidential range. The road is about 7 miles long. That might make for a nice sled ride. :)
Have you all checked out the museum? Can not remember if it is the one at the top or the one in the Cog Base Station. There used to be a paper printed on the summit of MW. Early in the morning a man with a bundle of papers would get on a sled - on the cog's tracks - and ride down to the base. On one side was a hand brake to stay under control. The museum has the fastest time posted by one of the sleds. Anyone remember what the time was? I recall it was unbelievable.
