Well, we are halfway through the month already. Time flies... The last four days have brought quite a bit of sunshine to the rockpile, which added to the monthly total rather quickly. It seems that the next four days will be without clear skies, so that will put the brakes on the total for most of this week . If the pace of clear skies keeps up with the first half of the month, Anna may cruise into this very easily. However, it is Mt Washington, & we all know that the weather may keep us guessing as to what will happen until the very last minute.
Lots of sunshine yesterday which brought us into the range of guesses.
We've lost a few, while we stand at 4170 on the 26th...

I can declare Anna as the official winner. The 28th brought enough sunshine to the summit to push by all of us except Anna. We are already at 4459 minutes of sunshines with a few days to go. Depending on what happens on Monday, Anna may have a very precise prediction!! Congrats Anna!! Thank you for entering!!

Impressive, considering the summit had an above average snowfall month as well.
Sorry Everyone.... I goofed big time. I declared Anna the winner on the 28th, even though I knew technically, she wasn't quite there. I thought with the high pressure predicted, she would easily cruise through the 96 minutes of sunshine she needed over a 3 day period to an easy victory.
We only received 15 minutes of sun during those 3 days, which left her prediction of 4,555 higher than the monthly total.
Like many others, I just got bit by the Mount Washington weather...
According to rule #4, Snow Miser takes the win with a guess of 4,396. See rule #4 on the next line.
4. If the proper answer is not selected by anyone, the winner will be the closest guess, without going over, according to the F6 report.
I never took the weather for granted when I've been hiking, but I guess it was too easy to do so while sitting behind a keyboard.

Not a problem whitemtnvisitor! :) Weather in The Whites is so unpredictable isn't it.
And Geez, I can't believe I won another one. Pretty soon folks are going to think I'm collaborating with my mother to get these numbers. LOL :D
