Stp 2013

Well it's getting close to this years Seek the Peak. I figured I would start a thread so people could post where they will be staying and when they will be hiking and what routes you will be taking.

As for myself I will be staying at my house in a nice comfortable bed. It is so nice live in Maine now and no need to travel to get to this awesome event.

I will be hiking Friday the 19th with Bob and Armando. We will be going up the Ammo trail and some of us will be going down the Jewell and possibly Tucks.
I usually hike on the Friday because I find it less hectic and no need to rush to get to the dinner and drive to the summit on Saturday.

So post your information here and maybe some of you can hook up and hike together.

Great idea for a thread Chris! I will be staying in a comfy bed at a motel in Bartlett after a long 8 hour drive from PA. :D And I will be hiking with you and Armando on Friday, in full kilted attire. Really hoping we have good weather like last year. Looking forward to seeing everyone again!!! :)

I plan to sleep in my own bed the night before as well, but then will have to make the approx. 2.5 to 3 hr drive up before hiking though. Haven't fully decided on a route yet. Being as I will be coming off of my volunteer week on the summit, it will be like I haven't even left yet.

How is everyone doing on their fundraising goals as well?

I don't mis the 3 hour rides. As for fundraising. I am just over my half way point and I am stuck :-/

I'm not as far as I'd like to be at this point in time. Must get going this week!

I will be hiking on Friday with my kilted brothers Chris and Bob. Plans are to go up the Ammo and come down Tucks which is convinent for me since I will be camping in Moose Brook during STP weekend.

I will also be sleeping in a nice comfy bed the entire time I am there.:D

Right now my plan is to go up on Wednesday and will be staying at The Golden Gables the first 2 nights. And then checking in at the Eastern Slope Inn on Friday for a week, that is directly across the street from the Weather Center. So, anyone is welcome to use the pool or hot tub at the place, like a pool party. LOL

I won't be hiking to the summit, but planning to hike to the bottom of Tucks with a friend of mine that Friday. For me that will be an accomplishment.

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Like Chris I to will be in my own bed the night before the hike. I to will be hiking with every one on Friday or should I be saying I will be trying to drag my body up the trail.

Hi All!!

A Friday climb...if only...we'll be making the drive up on Friday and currently planning to do Ammo up and Jewel down. Last year we did Ammo and Tuck and had a blast.

I'm getting ready for one more fundraising push...doing well this year, but barely halfway to my goal!

Can't wait to see everyone!

This is my first time hiking Mt. Washington (YAY!!) and I'm just looking for advice on what to pack. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. :)

Also, are trail maps available for purchase there?
