Is there a guide line for what type of picture they are looking for or where the picture was taken [ NH ] can it be in different states
Is there a quality your looking for like from a very good camera or a point and shoot
I submitted a couple pictures in mid Dec and did not see any of them or get word back that they were not good enough
just wondering this was not the only time this has happened
And does the picture have to be submitted in the month it was taken
From what I have seen, they get put up in batches. Yours may not be in the most recent batch put up, but might in the batch going up at the end of the month. I believe they do get more than they can put up too, so maybe it isn't in any batch. Of course I don't work for them, I just spend a lot of time on the site.

Yes, Jim is the photo editor. Generally the photos are of the Mt Washington area or other spots close in the Whites. Used to be mostly just the areas immediately surrounding Mt Washington but recently there have been more from a bit further away (but still in the Whites). The submissions page has the general rules for submission. It notes that "images taken within the last week are preferred".

I'm usually the one who updates the photojournal...and I'll be updating today.
It usually gets updated in batches...my free weekend mornings to be specific. My goal is to capture a snapshot of the chronology of the conditions on Mount Washington and it's immediate area over the course of the month. I generally don't put up identifiable people shots, but otherwise, I'm game to most anything Mount Washington, Observatory, or general White Mountain region.
Quality is becoming a bigger concern recently, as I've been getting a lot of cell phone images. These are simply not the quality I like to post, but most normal cameras will do the trick!

I know this takes time to do and if you dont have the time right away it just has to wait until you do ,thank you for doing this , i love looking at the pictures .
and you right i would not want to look at pictures from a phone
