Jefferson, Washington, Monroe, 7/7

Finished up our awesome extended weekend in the Whites with some Presidentials.

Conditions turned out pretty well considering the forecast was for afternoon t-storms.

Good to see you back hiking in the "Whites". You sure packed in plenty of 4000 footers on your trip. Great that you completed the Bonds too. With only 8 to go you may finish before us.
I wanted to let you know that for some reason I can't get onto your blog, so we didn't to see all your photos. I think it's our computer since it happens with others blogs too.

The peaks remaining for our finish are: Owls Head, Zealand and the Bonds. We were talking about what we might accomplish on our fall vacation last week. I just read today though that Lincoln Woods trail will be closed from mid-August to mid-October for repair work from the damage Irene caused two years ago.
We'll have to wait and see what happens and possibly wait to do Owls Head next winter.

Great stuff Owen! Too bad about not getting great views on Jefferson, you'll just have to go back! Took us a few times before we got them, but when we did it made it clear why we were repeating this mountain! I like your comparison of Monroe to the Matterhorn, but sorry, that distinction belongs to Chocorua! 8 ) It's all good... great trip report and pics!
