Actually, where I am at it hasn't rained more than a trace all day. Off to the west of me though the skies have been dark with thunder rumbling from time to time. The NWS is calling for the worst of it to hit our area during the overnight hours then a squall line to come through in the afternoon tomorrow bringing the chance for strong winds and a few tornadoes. We shall see. It seems that where we are in the panhandle by the time the weather gets to us, so much of the storms energy has moved north toward NE, it dries out considerably compared to our western panhandle neighbors.Quote:

When I heard "tornado" I said "Zuh? I think you mean hurricane."
Nope - tornado.

Pensacola, FL had a confirmed report of a tornado touchdown. I have no details yet. And along the AL-GA-FL borders there was a reported tornado. Don't know if that one was confirmed and the night's not over yet. The mid west is being pummeled by tornadoes from this system.Quote:

8.5 inches of rain!
We reported 1.51" this morning in our back yard. Not quite the totals they received in Okaloosa and Walton counties over by Pensacola. More rain on the way this morning and this afternoon.Quote:
