I think because what you can see of these towns from the summit are well to the right (east) of Mt. Madison and the camera hasn't been pointed over that way for some time.

I wonder why the camera is facing tha far east?
Actually, you cannot see most of the lights of Gorham from here. Those are the lights of Berlin, NH.
The camera is facing more east as we have had to do a few repairs to the box it is cased in and have forgotten to align them on our clear days due to the past few days being busy. We will try to get to them next time we clear. At least it is still north. Just think of it as going from magnetic north to true north or the other way around (I get them mixed up).
Thanks for the correction. Berlin seems so much closer from that vantage point. Although it would make sense because Berlin would be much more lit up than Gorham.
