Okay - to insert an image in one of these posts you copy the URL of the image and then paste it in the post with [img] in front of the URL and [/img] after the URL with no spaces.
So, to do this for an image posted to the Fotki archive, look at the image (not the whole page of thumbnails).
Under the image is a button "Share Photo" - click it.
The first option is "Image URL for use on other sites:" and there is a URL under that. This is the URL to copy to your clipboard. CTRL-C will copy what you have highlighted.
Then in the post to the forum enter
[img] http://images40.fotki.com/v1249/phot...ravines-vi.jpg [/img] with no spaces and the image will be in the post. CTRL-V will do the paste for you.
I haven't seen that view in so long it doesn't look as I remembered it.:)
