Lets start a new contest to guess the date of the first snow of the winter. Using the daily F6 report as the judge, what day will we have 1.0 inches of snow or more? The winner will be the closest guess either side of the actual date.

My guess is October 15th.

We have had an inch+ in August before, and it's common in September, but not the last two years, which took until October 14th and 20th respectively. In 2005, it took until the 30th or September. In 2002, 3.5 inches fell on September 11th.
So...this year...I'm going to bet on September 17th!
My guess would be Oct. 3rd.
My guess for 1 inch or more is September 25 (2008)
