Great pictures Ed. What is the third picture in the album? Is it some kind of shell?
Great pictures Ed! Anna, Bob and Christine - as much as I love the mountains I don't know how I could ever give up the ocean. They both are such a wonderful part of the natural world. One of the great things about living in New England is that you don't have to choose one or the other. Living where we do in RI we're 30 minutes from the ocean and only a couple of hours from the mountains. I wouldn't mind if it was the other way around ;). It's also the reason that we love Acadia so much. When the mountains and ocean come together it is truly magic!
Mark, you are right about the ocean being a wonderful place. The smell of the salt air, the sounds of the bells on the bouys, great seafood, etc. does make the shore line an excellent place to be. Growing up in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, we would vacation every summer in Sea Isle City, NJ and they were wonderful times. We were also geographically situated as you are. Two hours north and we had the Pocono Mountains, and less than two hours east we had the Jersey shore. I supposed we are fortunate to have both areas within a short drive. Many people in the interior of the country are not so fortunate.
