What are folks favorite hiking foods for overnights. here are a few of mine.
#1 Starbucks Instant A must have
#2 Hawks Vittles A backpacker that sells off his website in NY. Good and generous portions lots of variety.
#Peanut butter crackers, Peppridge Farm cookies

Ahhh...now this isn't really part 2 becuase the last thread was for what we always carry...now for what is a favorite, but I rarely carry because of space and weight is fresh fruit like grapes or cherries. I also like gummy bears, but they are often gone before we hit the trail.
I've never backpacked overnight as I'm pretty much just a day hiker for now. However, if I were do overnight, I would say it would be just like my day hikes (PB Sandwich, trail mix, gold fish, fiber one bars, etc.), just enough for two days. I would probably throw something in like a cup of noodles too for dinner. I would also pack some green tea too, for bedtime. I'm making the assumption that this is good backpacking food...but I'm only assuming!
