Fall 2011
This is a spot to post your fall pictures.
A few days ago I was on the summit and snapped a 7-image stitched panorama. I timed the individual shots so the Cog would be in the photo twice and it came out pretty well.

Very nice Brad. Wish I could have been up there today.

Brad, you did indeed do a terrific job with your stitched panorama. It give you a feeling of actually being there in-person.
Hey, the opening sentence of your posting states: "This is a spot to post your fall pictures." Am I correct in assuming that is an open invitation for anyone to do so??
I'm posting two autumn snapshots shown below (more can be found at my BLOG).
If I've misinterpreted your intent, please just let me know, and I'll remove my photos.

Hi John
That's exactly Brad's intent to have people post their fall pics in this thread....Your pics are great!!!
I love them both but, I keep going back to Beaver Pond pic and I love the sun dial in the Franconia shot...Nicely done!!

For anybody up, or coming up midweek, this has been the most inconsistent color I can ever recollect. I expect this to change rapidly with the expected frost on the way. So far, from what we have seen, some of the best color (vibrant maple reds) is right around Echo Lake, the backside of Artists Bluff, and the few miles north of Franconia Notch along 93. Note: these are areas easy to access. There is also good color along Rt 2 between Jefferson and Gorham, but it too is spotty. Hoping to see more as we head north to Cabot.

Just another update, the color is definitely popping along almost the entire length of Rt 3 from Twin Mt right through to Lancaster. If you are headed to the true North Country - Northumberland, Groveton, Stark, all are also in good shape, though it is almost passed in Stark. If you were to hike the next two days, would definitely propose going to the Horn off the KRT.

Hello All,
Just wanted to share some photos from this past Friday and Saturday from, Franconia Notch, Crawford Notch, and the Kancamangus. Colors are looking great in both notches! You'll also find some photographs of Mount Chocura and my first Moose! It only took me the past four years to finally find one; and this time I was only on the trail for a total of 5-10 minutes! We stumbled upon her coming to a trail junction and were about 20-30 yards away; truly stunning.
