Hmm, if there's a setting governing avatar sizes, it's not listed under "Avatars". vBulletin can be unintuitive with its menu placement. I'll try to find out what the current avatar rule is.

When I go to my user control panel it says I can do 80x80 but it has to be less than 19.5kb.

My CP says

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 50 by 50 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Interesting, the one you have right now is 80x60. I'll see what I can find.

Edit: What's more interesting is the guy who started this thread is just a spammer. Nothing malicious or inappropriate, but a spammer none the less.

Re the spammer, I'm pretty sure I've seen that message before on other BBs.

Avatar size is under "Usergroups". Who knew? Anyway, I made it 80x80 since some people already seemed to have that limit.

If he's a spammer then why not disable the link in his sig? :D

Thanks Mike, Looks better! Yet Gorque's avitar is still bigger than mine.

mike if you go to one of the sites below you will see that they have a 300 x 300 pix and it looks good .
