If you get to northern NJ we have two covered by Kittatinny State Park
They have some beautiful sections.
You can also drive to the summit of White Face in NY.

My old Pyr I would take hiking all the time, she was a very good trail dog. My current two, one is a rescue and he is iffy, likes to run. And the other is just a pup, she needs some work.

I'm an EMT, had my WEMT back in the early 90'sm but let that lapse. No longer on a search and rescue team, just forest fire and my local squad.
