I've done Arethusa a bunch of times now (since this post). Still a great hike if you catch it on a non-busy day.

I'm surprised Arethusa Falls was not mentioned. The hike in is only three quarters of an hour or so and the falls are awesome.

I did a walk up the falls a month or so ago. It's my second time to the falls and it still impresses the hell out of me. The hike is basic and usually crowded, but the falls are cool...
I've done huntington twice, both times it was a smooth hike. I know a lot of people say it's very tough, and I guess it is but if you go a good day and be carefull in spots you will be fine.

Huntington is steep, but has some of the best veiws I think.
I agree, it's hard to think that this is winter. I'm not terribly old, but I can say that winter was different when I was a kid...
(and we walked uphill BOTH ways!)
