    Question One way cog ride?

Question: I'm thinking of doing a one-way hike to the top of Mt. Washington leaving from the Pinkham Notch visitor center (so I can go up Lion's Head) and taking the cog railway down. Is it possible to take a one-way trip on the cog down? And is there any shuttle or other way to get from the Cog Railway Base Station back to my car at Pinkham Notch (and what might it cost $)? Any suggestions or opinions?

yes...you can get a one way cog down, it was about 35 or 40 bucks last I checked. People do it from pinkham, so there has to be some type of transportation back around. The AMC shuttle runs a few times a day, you can look into that when you get to Pinkham.

    Check out thecog.com

The other option...take a hiker shuttle down the auto road, it's cheaper, and they bring you right to pinkham. mountwashingtonautoroad.com for info!

    Enjoy the hike..
