Default New to this forum - Brad

I just signed up for this forum and look forward to participating.

My family and friends think I have an emotional attachment to Mt Washington and they are right. When at summer camp in NH as a child there was an "Honors Hike Squad" which climbed Mt Washington each summer. At age 12 or 13 I made it on the squad and have been on the trails ever since.

When we moved into our cabin in Maine in 1991 we started up a Guest Book which is fun to go back through. But, flip it over and at the back of the book are the special pages recording Mt Washington hikes - date - who went - and what the trails were used.

Several of my photos have been posted on the MWO site over the past couple of years. It is nice to see an official forum set up for us. Thanks Jake!

For over a year I have run a set of processes taking the web camera images off the MWO web site and getting the images posted to my personal Fotki photo web site. Over time these have created confusion for folks wanting to keep track of my photos and activities. Then I saw the new "Conditions" weather summary image on the MWO site and that put me over the top.

I have now created a new Fotki account for the Mount Washington Observatory with an id of "MWO". Each of the 4 web camera images off the MWO site now flow to this new photo site. And I have included the Conditions image in the process.

The uploads go to albums in the "Current Images" folder. Each day I move the daytime images to the archives. Once a day I will move the 3:00 PM Conditions image (which covers the prior 24 hour period) to its archive album.

This will give us insight to the conditions on our favorite mountain.

    Suggestions and feedback are welcome.
