I am already back there - mentally and emotionally. So, it is just a matter of getting my body to catch up.

Unfortunately for me, not until September for Flags on the 48. We'll be climbing Galehead.

Anyone else participate in the Flags event?

well if i was there mentally i would not get any work done because i would be happy and have a smile on my face

I am happy, have a smile on my face and have 4 web cameras at home to watch in addition to the cameras and premium content at MWO. How much better can it get than to watch the sunrise videos from the MWO site?

Last year, we went up Eisenhower for Flags on the 48. Weather was dark and blustery with storms around the edges. It was a remarkable and moving experience.

And our next trip will be the Bonds...

I did a Bond run up for sunset years ago (read many many years ago) and had the most wonderful view out across a velvet landscape. It was like you could reach out and touch in on the next ridge. The sunset tone was fantastic. Bond has always been a special place for me.

Well, heading north tomorrow after work. I have a couple of days of meetings in Winston-Salem, NC and then head north. I will be volunteering to help restore a house in the historic district of Acton, Mass (next to Concord) all day Friday. Then I will continue to Maine. Not sure what hikes I will be able to get in, but I do need to do one.
