Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could account for the missing block of about 3 hours in the summit conditions archive on 2/14/08. It jumps from 9:45 to 12:16. The 12:16 image shows a bit of a dip in the wind in the past few hours. I'm particularly interested in the 11:15 temp and wind speed as it was then I was standing on Madison...
It goes from this:

to this:

with nothing in between.
Thanks,
Tim
Unfortunately there are times the FTP upload of the MWO images gets hung up and they fail. I pull the images as they change and the files are saved on my computer at the cabin in Maine. Then I have an FTP upload program that runs on a schedule to upload. It has 3 tries every 15 minutes to do the uploads - then we have a new image.
I have been trying to find a different and better solution - but right now we have periods when we miss out. I am open to suggestions. It is likely that an e-mail sending process with the images as attachments would work better. I think those would catch up even if there was a problem at the Fotki end.
Also, when Microsoft sends out patches and forces a reboot to the computer we miss out till I realize that happened and then restart the computer.

You aren't forced to accept the automatic updates and reboots from Microsoft. You aren't forced to run Windows at all; you could run Ubuntu or some other Linux distribution
No big deal, I can probably interpolate using the 12:16 image...

When I get a chance tonight I will do more research on scheduled e-mail sending programs. They seem to only get down to daily and I want every 5 or 10 minutes.
Plus, that computer is the guest system. Visitors use it to surf and check e-mail when they are staying at the cabin.
