That's a really great picture. I'd love to see a full moon shot from that camera. Did you blacken the surrounding sky, or were conditions (humidity, light pollution, cloud cover) just very favorable.

The image went from the camera to the laptop and uploaded with no editing. The moon was in the western sky at sunrise.

The west cam view sunrise this morning is cool because as the sun was rising the clouds were rolling in over the summit and the shadow of the tower can be seen on the clouds.

It is amazing to see how it went from socked in tight to a beautiful day. And one has to remember it can do the same thing in reverse just as fast.

What a beautiful rainy morning on the lake, Brad. Reminds me of the cottage we had on Amston Lake in CT. I loved to fish in the rain. Almost always caught something.

I have always loved standing under cover and watching a heavy rain storm. Yesterday watching the lake web camera and seeing the heavy rain come across the lake was really cool.

Hey, who remembers the date of a time lapse from the North cam (or was it the West cam?) showing an unbelievable, terrific undulating undercast...just like an ocean?

I'm thinking it was April for some reason. I need to see it again. Any help?

The really good undercast was August 9th. August 10th was "the hole" in the clouds coming across the ground. Both were West camera videos.

If admin can confirm Rich is a Premium member, I will get the 2 files to him. Or tell me I should not do this. I know I can not do it if he is not a Premium member.

I remember the time lapse you are talking about and that was fantastic. It was definitely the north cam because i remember the clouds seeming to crash on the shores of Mt Jefferson and Adams. I know it was in the spring but not sure on the month. I will dig through old posts because I know it was discussed.

The date was 5/18/07. It was the sunrise from the north webcam.
