Mt. Osceola - water source

Hi -- great information in these threads -- nice to be a part of the community, all the way from Iowa.

I'm thinking about hiking Osceola later this month, does anyone know if there is a reliable late-summer water source near the summit of Osceola/East Osceola?

I hiked Osceola about five years ago and I remember a small stream near the summit. It was at night, and a long time ago, so I don't know if it was potable. The AMC White Mountain Guide has information about water sources near trails. Remember to take the proper precautions against giardia (sp?) and other contamination.

Thanks for the response and the caution about treating water. I would treat any source that I find in the wilderness.

If anyone has more recent experience with sources on Osceola or East Osceola, please chime in as soon as possible.
