My son would tell you that the only reason to hike MW is to see Nin.

Ha-ha, yeah, I was happy to see Nin again...looks like he got a bit pudgier than last time I saw him, but such a lovely cat!

People wonder why I pack gloves for a MW hike in July. I have used them several times.

My wife doesn't quite understand (though she is starting to) the weather up there. I was packing my pack before our hike this summer and she says to me, "Why are you packing your winter gloves and hat?" I told her that she was going to take her's also as well as the kids. She just looked at me like I was weird. One day we will be up there and she will be glad I made her carry the "extra" weight.
