With the classic logo, it'll be all the more meaningful to the winner!![]()

We could also do it without the prize. With the winner being declared the smartest, at least in terms of guessing October snowfall.
Sorry guys, I'm going with famine this year.
2.1"
I reserve the right to change my guess up to the cutoff time. Especially if they get 2.1" on the 1st.
Jim I applaud you for taking on this challenge. Confusion is sure to abound.
Yea, I could put it next to my Conway Scenic Railway glass!Originally Posted by JimS

Hi Guys!
I'll go for 29.5. Call it wishful thinking!!

Alright, I'm ready to make my entry into the contest.
Unfortunately, I don't think that we are going to see a repeat of the last two Octobers. The trend for the first 7-14 days of October is awfully warm...so warm that it depresses me. I was hoping to be skiing in the east snowfields by the end of October! Now of course I have to remind myself that the last two Octobers have been nothing short of unusual and that's not what every October is going to be like. I also don't think that this October will be representative of our upcoming winter on the whole.
Now on the other hand, through the course of the summer, there has been one or two cold shots each month, most of them coming with at least some frozen precipitation as well(fortunately, almost all of them have been on my shift). Considering that, and looking at some data, I think that trend will continue even if we do have an overall warm month. I also think that we get at least one or two decent snowfalls this month. So, my somewhat educated guess is:
14.8 inches
Sorry for being long winded, talking about the weather and snow cheers me up a bit after Penn State's horrible performance yesterday![]()
