Default Rare Photo Op on the mountain!

Weather permitting, I will be doing a series of aerial photos on Mt. Washington tomorrow, 9/30/07 between 2:30-3:00. My primary focus will be in the area of Jacob's Ladder, but I'll also be on the lookout for anyone hiking near or on the summit.

If you see me, WAVE! You might end up in a photo on the forum!
And if I happen to see the entire MWOBS staff outside waving....

(But if the wind picks up, all bets are off.)

Looking forward to seeing the pics. Too bad I live so far away, I would be out there waving!

I wonder if it would be out of his way to fly by my house?

    Default Aerial images 9/30/07

A stunningly beautiful day, with perfect mountain flying conditions. Didn't see anyone waving, though!

Feel free to use this one as a screensaver!

Simply stunning work. Great light, and the mountain sure did cooperate! Can I ask what lens you use? I'm assuming it's IS or VR! Great results!

Thank you for the kind words, Jim.

The cog image was taken with a Canon 75-300mm 1.4-5.6 IS zoom- with the IS off! I learned a long time ago that the relative movement of the target in relation to the aircraft confuses the image stabilization. Seems counter-intuitive, but true.
