Was out scoping for possible places to get some foliage pictures next week and was treated to this sunset.

Very nice. Can't beat sunsets with clouds.

Is there really any BAD weather???
Really nice image!
I think #8 could possibly be an excellent shot when the trees turn there.
There is a short series of pictures in Harrison, Maine starting at the "railroad bridge" at #10 - then it goes into Harrison harbor with the boats. The owners replaced the bridge last year with this steel one (which I am not too fond of). That used to be the old narrow gauge railroad that came up through Bridgton and stopped at Harrison. If you walk on the tracks down to the right about 2 miles you get to our cabin on the lake. Our road used to be the railroad tracks.
Looking at picture #12 with the boats - way in back you can see an island. When viewing my lake camera that island is off to the left a bit on the other side of the lake.
The engines and cars from the old railroad were moved years ago to the cranberry bog down at Edaville where folks could take train rides around the bog. At Christmas time they had it all decorated. I can remember as a kid going there many times. Now some of the engines and cars are in a museum in Portland.

We stayed Friday night at a place in Harrison over looking Crystal Lake. It is about an hour from where I live in Portland. Nice little area. Looks like good fishing in the pond-lake where those boats were as I saw some good sized fish there.
Very neat to hear the history of the are or at least a little of it.
Really nice shots from the lake, I like the one of the little island. I'm guessing that the other lake is Lily pond on the kank? Colors are looking great on the shoreline...I didn't make it over there this weekend and now regret it. And the sunset...glorious!
What lake holds the fish? I like the look of those trout!!!
