Record high for today is 55. The temperature seems to have flattened out right now at 53.

And it stayed flat through out the day. How does this web page know the record was 55 for today and it "needed" to stay just below that?

Isn't that a kick in the pants. I guess the sun just couldn't heat up the summit enough to attain a record.

The ARVTP relays most of its information to a radio on Wildcat that then relays that to us. The radio on Wildcat is below the proper voltage to operate fully due to the cloud cover that has lingered the past few days. Once it gets some sun (Friday, hopefully) on the solar panels, the webcam and the ARVTP temperatures should be back on.

Also, the base temperature relays its temperatures via the Glen House not Wildcat, that is why it is still working currently.

Ditto on that. Has anyone published a description of the system anywhere. If so, is it available. If not it might be a possible idea for a story in Windswept or something.

Yes, thanks for the details. Another thing that would be cool if you guys have the time to do it would be to include pictures of something in a discussion, like the microwave unit you are linked to get the internet on the summit. Pictures give us a better understanding too.
