Even Podunk, VT is 1,900 feet! Glastonbury, VT is 3,002 feet.

According to the DeLorme NH Atlas, Carroll (downtown Twin Mountain) is at about 1,000 feet. Bretton Woods (also technically part of Carroll) is at about 2,000 feet, depending on where you measure. The highest point in the town is probably what usgs.gov shows above, but that isn't a very meaningful measure for our purposes here.

As I posted earlier, I still like Peru, MA. This topo map (note: metric) shows that, unlike some of the other referenced towns where the highest point is within the town boundaries but uninhabited, Peru has folks living near the town center at elevations of 2100 feet and greater.

But I'm just a dumb, no-account newbie, so what do I know?
