Why did I climb the mountain? Because I was there.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.Originally Posted by Charlie

But at least I still some photos, which I will post to the Brad website shortly. Please be patient.

Is there really any BAD weather???
I went to see a hot air balloon event yesterday morning - but, it got fogged in. So, I headed to a few other spots in NC to take pictures (will upload them in a bit). Then this morning I was back at Statesville, NC for the balloons. Those pictures are atOriginally Posted by WSR88D

My favorite was taken looking inside the balloon at the top as it was being filled with hot air.
I did the chase-the-vans routine to try to get pictures as they got set up several miles from the airport. Then they flew across the airport, dropped down by an X marker, dropped a bean bag on the marker (closest gets extra points) and then on to the tie down area. And I went back to the airport to get pictures there. Amazing they have that much control.
I am not sure which is harder - getting close enough in a balloon to drop a bean bag on a marker - or, pick the snow depth on MW for October.

Sounds like you had a nice day! I would like to take a ride in a hot air balloon one day. It looks like a blast!...(of hot air)![]()

I'm gonna say Dec 21, since it is the shortest day of the year in the NHOriginally Posted by Bill O
