Off topic pictures

Brad, I love the picture of the mountain. It looks cool...almost like a huge slab of rock set on the slope of the hill. I'd love to hike up there.

That is Hawksbill Mt. There is a nice trail up that from a gravel road from the east. The summit is roughly 3,980 ft. Tablerock to the south has a 4 mile loop (3,876 ft for the summit - the closest you can get is about 100 ft from the summit on the trail). Shortoff Mt to the south has a approach from the south that is about 1.5 miles going in. It would be interesting to see what the views are from that side of the gorge.

The lighting (or major shade) was quite a lot of trouble in taking pictures.

Great stuff as always, Brad! I didn't realize there was a statue of me and Emma there(#29). I'm surprised at the close resemblance to King Richard's Faire in Carver, Mass. I used to go every year. I have about a thousand pictures, someday I'll go through them and post on my website.

Many of the folks go from Faire to Faire up the east coast. So, it may be the same folks in Mass.

Steve, it sounded like the people working this Faire started their season in the spring in Florida. I have the e-mail address of one of the vendors (mushroom lady) and she has promised to keep me informed about their 2008 schedule.

we have a Renaissance Fare up here and it is some thing different to go to .i like how the people working there get into there work and they allow people to dress up and join in the fun .
