A NH waterbar in PA?!

Hey everyone, first and foremost NH is and shall always be my homestate. So I'm sorry the only relation to the Whites about this story is myself.But since (for now)I have to live here I figured I might as well give a hand with a local state trail system that needed some waterbars replaced. Its hard to believe the state paid someone to put the old ones in the way they did, but the park manager said it would be great to have the old ones replaced. So I did them NH-style! The rocks, soil, trees are all different here so it seemed real strange. I got a seperate set of tools to use here as my ones for NH are sacred and shall never be diluted by foreign soil. Obsessed? Yes, Crazy? Probably, Prudent?, Most definitely!

It was of course, fun to be out, and there's still 2 more to do in that section, so its something to look foward to, it just lacks that familiarity of a northern boreal forest,so that's kinda strange. But its still a good work to do for others.

I understand what you are saying, We go to the Smokies in Tenn. once or twice a year and we enjoy the mountains there but the Whites are where my heart is.

This is a place called Nolde Forest. It is S-SW of Reading PA.
