Default Washington from 65 miles away...

Hello, chaps. I just got back from a little walk out in the woods near-ish my house(delightful walk - saw my first snow of the year ), and managed to get this picture looking North from the town of Rochester. Well, Strafford, really, but it's practically Rochester. If you squint, you can see Mount Washingon to the right of Chocorua. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/100_0930.jpg

Now, since a lone photo really doesn't deserve a whole thread, why don't y'all post yer own long distance shots of The Mountain?

Since I have no long distance shots of the mountain, I'll just say that I enjoyed yours!

Good, I'm glad someone did. It was a long, hard 4/10 mile slog up the west face to the 1300 foot summit of Blue Job from the 1000 foot parking lot, er, base camp, through half-inch deep snow and over treacherous ice. T'was not an adventure for the timid of heart nor the feeble of body - indeed, an ascent for the history books. At least that mind-boggling effort wasn't wasted.

I went out to take pictures today. We went up hill and down dale. Around the fields - all in search for some good views of Mt Washington. It was exhausting. But, the car was nice and warm between photo shots.

    The pictures are at http://public.fotki.com/bradbradstre...2007-winter-2/

    This is kind of cool.

Note: This was 31.5 miles away from the summit.

    Nice shot!

I went out to take photos this morning, but drove east to the beach (Hampton) instead of north to the mountains. It was only 28 degrees out, but felt much colder than that, and I forgot my gloves!

Here's my shots, but since there's no snow capped mountains, they don't compare http://picasaweb.google.com/spyboy/BeachPhotos

There may be no snow, but the pictures are nice anyway.

Jim S was asking a while ago about places to take MW pictures and I thought of this one. Most folks are probably not aware of this view.

Is there a photo or a link to a photo in your post because if there is I cannot see one.
