Snowshore recommendations for the White Mountains?

I'm in need of a new pair of snow shoes for hiking in the White Mountains.
The features I prefer are: stainless steel crampons, rachet type bindings with the pivot type suspension. I've searched the web and have found that I would have to proably have to relinquish at least one of these features. Which binding is best; the one that "kicks" up the snow or the one that drags on the ground? I'm leaning towards the Cabelas Outfitter Pro snowshoes which are made by Atlas. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I found a deal with EMS on a pair of Tubbs Mountaineer 30 snowshoes. Their regular price was $269; I got them for $219 plus reduced shipping (because of size of the package) and $40 in EMS coupons along with a coupon for a free head lamp and HIGH GEAR Adventure Plus. The only thing I relinquished on was the racheting bindings but the "Active fit plus" bindings seem easy to use.

I have a pair of Atlas snowshoes I got off Craigslist a few years ago, for about $50. They were in really good shape, just the paint was a little scraped from rocks and stuff, but who cares

But, if you're going to do a lot of snowshoeing, maybe new is the way to go, so you know it's warrantied and whatnot.

I haven't used mine much, but plan to give it another go this winter.

Make sure you glue some animal hair to the shoes and also drop a few wisps here and there.

i use a plywood cut out of a big foot ,so it will keep people thinking a little

All you do to cinch up the bindings on the Tubbs Mountaineer 30 is to pull back and down for a nice snug fit. To release you pull on a loop on top of the bindings and your out. Let's hope for lots of snow this winter so we all can get out on the trails.

i will use 4 toes on each foot and then it can be the east big foot

You all should have an annual snowshoe race up there. You could make it a 5k or something.
