Yes, the crescent moon bindings are indeed nice. I can put my snowshoes on one-handed, standing one-legged on fairly steep slopes.

The only thing that I don't like about the crescent moons is their colors. I'd prefer a much more conservative black and gray (I have the 2006/2007 gold 9's in red, white, and blue). I do get a lot of "cool snowshoes" compliments from other hikers though, so maybe I shouldn't complain.

I've been using the Crescent Moon Gold 10's for a couple of years now. I have yet to find a better binding system and reasonably light for the size.
