Maybe we should incorporate a few fund raisers to help.

Having just returned from a conference in Miami Beach, I have to say the "local color" was rather interesting, though most of what I saw was white (sand) -- though not quite as white as at home where the ground got higher by ~11" yesterday. Had the flight been more convenient, I could have surfed in the morning and skied in the afternoon; oh well, guess I'll have to ski/surf the Big Island when the conference is held there in a couple of years.

You can ride one of those snurf-boards right down the mountain across the beach and into the ocean.

Miami is way too far south for any color, except green. South Florida is boring and flat with mostly palm trees and pines. North Florida has a much larger variety of trees such as oaks, maples, pecans, pines, beech, birch, poplar, magnolia, cedar, cypress, and several varieties I have no idea what they are.

I am in Jacksonville, FL for the weekend and it is amazing that the foliage here is farther behind than where I live which is 2 hours west of here. I think it must be due to the climate on the ocean. We have had colder weather inland than they have had here, even though we are roughly at the same latitude.

That would be funny. I would have to explain where I got the snow to make a snow man and that would be hard to do.

Do you have any skating rinks nearby? If so give them a call. When I was younger we would go to the back of the Acton, Mass. rink in the Summer. The Zamboni would dump 'Snow' there. Then we would proceed to make snow balls and toss them out the window at friends downtown. One hot day we built a snowman on the town common.
