    Default Wind speeds

I'm looking at the 24 hour wind speed graph. Does the wind drop to zero from high speeds (over 100mph) very often? At first I thought maybe the equipment was giving bad readings (broken?) but I guess this could happen. I thought winds "die down" instead of just stopping all of a sudden.

My guess is ice caused it or equipment failure.

The word I got was "ice clog". Okay, that's 2 words.

The pitot-static anemometer is heated to prevent infiltration, but sometimes needs maintenance.
