Rides for the Traverse

I was wondering if there are any taxi or car services in the Gorham/N. Conway areas?

We're coming up to do the traverse on Jan 3rd or 4th, and would prefer to take just one car to leave at the end (Crawford area), and catch a ride back the the Valley Way trailhead.

In the past we've taken two cars but I thought that if there were alternatives, someone here would know.

Any help would be appreciated.

In north conway, there are two that I have used but I believe that there are four in the North Conway area. The two I know are:

Harris Taxi: (603) 356-5577 (number in phone book)
and Turtle Taxi (603) 356-7577 or (888) 785-3611 or turtletaxi.net

In Gorham, the only taxi that I know of is EZ Taxi at 603-752-4696

There is also the AMC hiker shuttle but I am not sure if that runs in the winter. Check out the AMC website for more. I might suggest googleing taxis and shuttles in the area as well. Good luck.

The AMC Hiker Shuttle operates daily June 4 through September 14, and weekends and holidays September 20 through October 19.

Knapper, Thanks for the info. I called EX Taxi, they charge $90 for a ride from the Crawford visitors center back to the Valley Way trailhead. They also have a van if necessary.

Just an update for future reference. EZ Cab did meet us as agreed on Friday morning. They also stopped for us at Pinkham to sign in. The only problem was that they didn't have a van. It was an SUV with large subwoofer in the back, so not much room for 4 packs. I definitely would not hesitate to use them again, but only if there were 2 or 3 of us.
