Elevation

I'm new to the forum but have been reading it for some time now. Certainly a nice crew posting some interesting topics.

I was curious if anyone had an elevation profile of the Tuckerman Ravine route up to the summit. I looked around a little bit but didn't find a whole lot. Thanks a lot for any help.

In 2003 I attempted to produce a profile for Pinkham - up Lions Head - summit and for down by way of Tuckermans Headwall using Delorme's TopoUSA package. It is hard to get precise, but the images are in this album along with route pictures.

Nice to hear it helped. I drive with Delorme's Street Atlas running connected to a GPS. But, when I am planning out a hike or even driving in the NC mountains, I will switch to their TopoUSA program. Does the same street level directions, but it does hiking trails also. So, you can map out a route by trail and it will calculate the distance, etc. just as you can do for driving. Once the route is set, you can then produce a profile view of the route.
