    Default HOJO's this weekend

Ill be hiking up friday night, staying over until sunday morning afternoonish.

Plans are to hike up as far to the summit as allowable( at this point, just above the ravine would be nice), hike around hillmans maybe?

I'll be with 2 or 3 other people and plenty o' joy in a can. Cheers!

P.S. Does anyone know if Seth is gone?I know he's moving on and everything this year.

A place to check out is http://www.tuckerman.org/photos/tucks to see if any recent pictures have been posted. At this point nothing is there yet for this season.

    Fun time had by all.

Left Hartford CT at 430 AM Friday, ate breakfast at pinkham by 9 and at 10 started up the trail with my friend. 50 lbs each. Got to Hojo's around 1130 picked our shelter and dug out the picnic table, stretched out and layed out in the sun. Awesome

6 oclock and our other 2 friends with very little experience(outfitted nonetheless) hadnt made radio contact. we started down and find theyre still not at the base. With only 600 mL of Crown between the both of us we drove to gorham got 4 guiness and a bottle of Cab sav yellow tail. Check into mcdonalds for a couple minutes and get back to pinkham around 9.

Friends finally show up so we start up the trial around 930. 2 hours later all four of us were in the shelter. Wake up to snow snow and more snow until around 1 when it turnes to rain. booo

Sit around drinking we see a guided group of French Canadians totalling 7. Another group from UVM(all sober, somehow) of 7 on the other shelter.

Drink and eat dinner was the theme of the weekend as the weather was it's worst its been all weekend.
Got to meet Chris the new Caretaker, very cool cat. Big boots to fill but he's just as anxious for ski season as the rest of us.

    Overall a good time.

For future reference an empty camelback M.U.L.E. can fit:
    1 bottle of wine
    3 12 oz bottles
    4 15 oz cans
    2 20 ox water bottles.
    misc herbal supplements

Pics to follow, not that many it was alot of whiteout
