A very nice day. But, not as much snow as I was hoping for. Went to Blowing Rock, NC and then north through the NC mountains into VA. The pictures are at

Just north of Todd, NC on route 194 (which is a small road) I saw this off the road.

I got to the NC Zoo first thing this morning and stayed till 2PM. There are 2 main sections (North America and Africa). One section is 2 miles of walking and the other is 3 miles. Getting back to the car is another 2 miles. All that is on hard payment trails. So, my feet are tired.

Some of the animals like this red wolf would not stand still for pictures.

The Miami Zoo has 2 person bikes with canopies for rent. Too bad zoos won't let you bring your own bike in, I would love to ride around on my beach cruiser.

Spent yesterday in the NC mountains taking pictures of flowers and waterfalls - at The Biltmore Estate. The weather forecast was for rain and not a real nice day. They were wrong - it was really nice. A little windy to be taking pictures of flowers as they would not sit still. The pictures are at

Thank you Charlie. It is hard to see but the waterfall picture is zoomed in all the way at 300mm. I liked the detail and mixture of elements.

Very nice Brad, I love the colors. I am trying to find the time to learn how to use my new Nikon to take some nice shots like that.
