Brad, clean your sensor, you have spots on it!

I checked and cleaned the sensor - but, I think the issue is with the old 500mm zoom lens. I think an inside lens is dirty.

You can take one of those camera puffers and blow air across the lens to remove debris. I hate switching lenses on my cameras for that reason, junk will get in there. I try to keep the exposed lenses facing down but it's not always possible depending on where you are when you're swapping.

We will see how pictures taken today come out. We had an office outing and used the 135mm, 300mm and the 500mm zoom lens. Standing at the outfield fence taking pictures of the batter face on was cool.

The Biltmore has a special display on now called the "Floral Carpet". It is 144,000 plants set out in a special pattern. This was the major reason I wanted to get there this morning to take pictures of it. Here are a few pictures from the album at

It was windy at times so I tried to get a picture of a water fountain getting blown.



And then I found a butterfly.



Every time I go to the Biltmore it is different and wonderful.

We skipped a trip here when we visited Asheville. If we get back down to visit my cousins there again we'll be sure to take it in. Beautiful photos!

Well, a couple of fellows from the office and i went to an air show yesterday at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA. The show way great but the weather was on the edge of raining. with the overcast skies the pictures were not great.

With the bad weather several events were not done. But it was still a good day.







There was a lot of humidity but I did not get a good "bloom" picture.
