    Default MWO Forum Activity

I just saw this posted on the forum.

"Most users ever online was 70, Today at 09:23 AM."

Nice to see the activity is going up. Folks are finding the forum.

It's a direct correlation to the reference in the daily comments. All those users online only generated 1 new topic, which is a little sad.

Sorry, I can't resist, but that new topic would have been a perfect fit in the "Photographs" section, but I'll take what we can get.

It is tough to get forum going. People have an interest, but are afraid to post. They feel as if they might sound stupid, or something might have already been covered. And once they do sign up for a forum, only about 10% of members will post, the rest lurk.

I agree. People come, look but don't post. Would love to know what keeps people from posting. This is a great forum for all of us who love the white mountains. Come on folks don't just look, post. This is a forum that takes in so much with both the weather and hiking aspect. Would really enjoy seeing more people post.

And there are sections clearly set for other topics. One should not be afraid to post - even just to say "thanks".

It is amazing the web traffic the MWO web site gets. Last year a link was provided off the daily comments to a set of pictures I had taken. That day I had over 35,000 pages viewed on my photo web site!

I certainly don't want to discourage posting, but I think we should strive for meaningul replies. I'll take one word answers for now but in the long run you want to see some real substance.

    Yup

(lol, the 3 letter reply above was declared "too short". A post must be at least 10 characters. We are saved by technology.)

First post here. It's not that I'm afraid to post, it's just that I don't believe I have anything that is meaningful post.

Other than this post, what was made to let all know that I'm not afraid to post.
