one of the true incredible experiences I have had in my life was standing on the summit of MW under the full moon while I was volunteering.

The web camera image archiving process is not doing well with this storm last night. We have had multiple power outages at the cabin and another just hit. just as we think we have the server up and running another comes outage hits. These are all too short (less than 4 seconds) to have the generator kick in.

So, the process is not running right now. Once things settle down a bit we will work to get it running. Not much to see at the summit anyway today.

There is a massive avalanche crown cutting across half of the bowl. It looks like it is at least six feet high, possible closer to ten!

I just figured out why I have not been able to see the Hi-Res pictures - the web site shows me with lapsed membership. So, I can not see that image. I hope they get it fixed quickly - please!

All fixed - and that is quite a wall in the ravine. It looks like the lower section has already let loose.

Here is a comparision on snow in Tux this year compared to the last 2 years. It looks like a lot more snow this year.
