Some of the videos seem to start off "rocky" and then smooth out. Like the North sunset and the Presidentials sunset. Mike, can you check to see if they are grabbing all the images in the time period?

For some reason, undoubtedly rooted in the minutiae of mpeg encoding, the timelapses seem to play choppily when you first press play in the plugin, especially while they are still downloading. Firefox allows you to save the movie to your computer (ctrl+F), where you can play it in Windows Media Player, Quicktime, VLC or other program. They play much more smoothly outside of a browser plugin, but failing that, wait until it is fully downloaded before playing.

The North image is so clear this morning BEFORE sunrise. It really looks nice.

The North and West sunrises today were nice. The West one started in the dark. But, the North image started and it was light outside - because of the new camera's low light capability.

On the Tuckerman Zoom you can see a defined trail in the snow on the Upper Snowfields. No visible activity in Tucks though.
So, we had a fire throwing dragon out on the north side of the summit this morning!

Looks like those people are goners, but maybe the houses can be saved.
Notice he only burned the houses down but saved the trees. The dragon is definitely environmentally friendly![]()
I'm an idiot. I didn't even notice that smoke in the photo. At least one house was saved.Originally Posted by spyboy
