All cameras and the Conditions page stopped running at 12:30 PM today.

Sounds about right. Thats when we lost our link to the valley due to the weather. We are re-linked now though.

The image archiving process started back up at 7:30 PM. The Conditions page showed lots of wind. Was that the cause?

Wind speed isn't so much the cause, it is wind direction and temperatures that played the bigger roll.

well if wind is the problem then just shoot the microwaves a little into the wind so they will not drift to far away

I laugh when I am in my car and the thermometer says it is 24.7 degrees out. Why do I need that level of precision? I think Patrad has the right answer. NOAA is government work anyway isn't it?

When I was going back down this morning to PNVC there were lots of folks heading up - many said they would summit if the wind allowed. But the Deck camera only snagged one person all day!

All camera images have stopped with the last being at 10:00 AM.

If there are hikers almost to the summit, stop where you are and wait till I tell you the camera images are flowing again. That way you can get your summit picture captured in the Deck camera image.
