Lastly, our trail report from our trip up Monroe and Washington last June is here
August 1st 2001 - up Lions Head, summit and down Tuckermans Headwall.
Snow at the base of the headwall - about 5 feet thick and 50-60 feet long.

TimandVal, very nice! Yes, that's rhodora. The other two are diapensia(white) and lapland rosebay (purple).
Brad, that's a classic image of the last remaining snow at the base of the headwall. Gives me goosebumps.![]()
I can't wait for wildflower season either...just a bit over a month away now in the southern whites!
