    Default East Snowfield Can Avalanche!

    I just saw a photo of avalanche activity in the East Snowfields (a favorite playground for off duty weather observers).

    We always considered that area to be safe from avalanches, but this record snow year proves otherwise.

    Does anyone have an estimate of how deep the snow is in Tuckermans Ravine?
