That actually looks real. Check the radar, I bet thunderstorms were in the area at that time.
Big temp drop at the same time.

Yup, that one is for real. Unfortunately, I wasn't awake for it...I had just gone to bed about 45 minutes before it happened (I'm working nights this week). Fellow observer Steve said it just came out of nowhere. There were not thunderstorms nearby. I'm going to try to find some archived radar to look at. Must have been some sort of squall line.
It only seems appropriate to have a freak wind like this on Big Wind Day....

Whatever it was, it was able to mix down some strong winds and cold air from aloft.
Edit: Upon second look it only dropped the temp about 6 degrees.
